Roots in rural care

Paws & Pastures Pet Care was born from a lifelong love for animals and a deep connection to rural life. As a goat farmer with a history in 4H, I've always been surrounded by creatures of all shapes and sizes. My pet sitting journey began as a teen, when neighbors trusted me to look after their farms and homes. This sparked the idea for a business that combines my passion with professional expertise. With a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Maine at Augusta, and four years of experience as a veterinary assistant, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge and hands-on experience to every visit. I love getting to help pet owners outside of the clinic setting, providing peace of mind and exceptional care.

I am an insured pet sitter, CPR certified, and hold a college degree, ensuring a professional and knowledgeable approach. As a dog mom to a medically challenged dog, I deeply understand the challenges of finding suitable care and the stress of traditional boarding. I believe pets are less stressed and healthier when they can stay in their familiar home environment, avoiding exposure to illnesses common in high-volume facilities. I have an established clientele with many great reviews, a testament to my dedicated and exceptional care.
